Pulse

Timestamps in, timesheets out.

Know Who Is In, Who Is Late, and Who Is Absent — Before the Day Begins

Instead of collecting paper registers, chasing department heads for attendance sheets, or reconciling multiple spreadsheets at the end of each month, HR teams get an automatic, real-time attendance record that captures check-in and check-out times, flags exceptions, and generates the reports they need.

Track working hours, overtime, and actual time on site for every employee
Identify late arrivals, early departures, and absences in real time
Distinguish between planned leave, unplanned absence, and remote working
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly attendance reports automatically
Give HR a consolidated view of attendance patterns across departments and locations
Feed attendance data into payroll for accurate salary and deduction calculations
Maintain a reliable and auditable attendance record for compliance purposes
What changes

The difference it makes to your business.

From paper registers and manual sign-in sheets → to digital check-in with timestamps

Every attendance event is recorded with the exact time and date — eliminating handwritten entries, illegible signatures, and missing records.

From end-of-month attendance reconciliation → to real-time visibility

HR and managers can see who is present, late, absent, or working from home at any point during the day — without waiting for registers to be collected and consolidated.

From untracked late arrivals → to flagged and reported exceptions

Employees who check in after their scheduled start time are automatically marked as late. Repeated late arrivals are surfaced in exception reports without requiring manual review.

From disconnected leave and attendance records → to a unified workforce view

Approved leave records are reflected in the attendance system so that planned absences are distinguished from unplanned ones — improving the accuracy of both HR and payroll data.

From monthly manual payroll inputs → to validated attendance-based payroll data

Actual working hours, overtime, and absence counts are available in structured form for payroll processing — reducing manual data entry and the risk of calculation errors.

How it works

A clear path from need to outcome.

01

Employee Marks Check-In

The employee logs their attendance at the start of their working day using the web app, mobile app, or on-site kiosk. The system records the timestamp and compares it against the scheduled start time.

02

System Flags Late Arrivals and Absences

If the check-in occurs after the grace period following the scheduled start, the system marks the attendance as late. If no check-in is recorded by a defined threshold time, the employee is marked as absent pending confirmation.

03

Manager is Notified of Exceptions

Team leads and managers receive alerts for team members who are late or absent. They can acknowledge the exception, add a reason, or initiate a follow-up action.

04

Employee Marks Check-Out

At the end of the working day, the employee marks check-out. The system calculates total hours worked for the day and flags any early departure or overtime.

05

HR Reviews Daily and Period Summaries

HR accesses the daily dashboard for a real-time attendance overview and period summaries for reporting. Unexplained absences are escalated for follow-up.

06

Attendance Data is Validated for Payroll

At the close of the payroll period, attendance records are reviewed, exceptions are reconciled, and validated working hours are made available to the payroll team.

07

Reports are Generated and Archived

Monthly attendance reports are generated automatically and stored in the archive. The data is retained for compliance, audit, and historical analysis purposes.

Built-in controls

Confidence in every workflow.

The solution maintains the integrity of attendance data and prevents manipulation of records.

Late Check-In Detection

The system automatically compares the check-in timestamp against the employee's scheduled start time and applies the late flag where the arrival exceeds the configured grace period.

Duplicate Check-In Prevention

Employees cannot record more than one check-in event for the same working day without a corresponding check-out. Anomalous sequences are flagged for HR review.

Unexplained Absence Escalation

Employees who are marked absent without an approved leave record are flagged automatically. Managers are notified and required to confirm the reason before the period is closed.

Overtime Authorisation Requirement

Hours worked beyond the standard working day are recorded but require manager authorisation before they are treated as approved overtime in the working hours summary or payroll feed.

Backdated Entry Restriction

Attendance records cannot be created or modified for past dates without administrator approval. All backdated entries are flagged and logged with the name of the user who made the change.

Leave and Attendance Reconciliation

Approved leave records are reflected in the attendance system to distinguish planned from unplanned absences. Conflicts between leave approvals and attendance records are surfaced for HR review.

Device and Location Verification

Where configured, check-in is validated against the employee's registered device or expected location — preventing proxy check-ins or attendance fraud.
